PHIL DURKIN

I have been an active member of Bolton Camera Club since 2011 and have progressed over the years to become a confident photographer, as a member I have attained two recognised Accreditations being DPAGB and BPE4, these have really helped me understand photography and assisted me to hone the craft.

In recent years I have developed my own style and discovered my passion which is predominantly seascape photography using long exposure techniques mixed in with a minimalistic approach. My inspiration comes from the Scottish Highlands but more so the Outer Hebrides which I visit as often as possible. I find the subtleness of the gentle

landscape is a challenge, but can usually find a unique composition given time.

Whilst at Bolton Camera Club I volunteer for various activities and give presentations, I also enter most monthly competitions, my pictures are often used for inter-club competitions which are held throughout the year.
