JUDY BELL
Although I had become interested in photography in early middle age, I did not join Bolton Camera Club until 2012. The arrival of a young family necessitated a change in career so I went back to college - this time with a view to qualifying as an Art Teacher. I specialised in ceramics but enjoyed the photographic block and promised myself that I would find time to have a dabble in photography when life became a little less hectic. On joining the club, I enjoyed the lectures initially and subsequently club competitions and slowly improved as I became a little more adept at post-processing. In early 2026, I attained my CPAGB accreditation.
I enjoy a variety of genres - landscape mainly, often leaning to minimalistic monotone, but I also enjoy taking images of flowers and birds.
