Exhibitions Mounted by the Club

Exhibitions play an important part in the Bolton Camera Club. They are important in two ways. Firstly, members have the chance to display their work in a public space and secondly, such displays make people aware of the club. We have often attracted new members as a result of people seeing our work and wanting to get involved.

Many of our members enjoy sharing their work with a wider public. The Club makes this possible by mounting a number of displays and exhibitions each year. We have been fortunate to obtain the support of Waterstones in Bolton who allow us to mount a display twice a year within their shop in Bolton. Similarly, Mathers Camera Shop in Market Street, Bolton have a permanent, rotating display of twelve images contributed by our members.

In the last year we have been asked to display work in the Parish Church and have also mounted a major exhibition at the Rivington Gallery.

The exhibition held jointly with the Bolton Art Circle in the art gallery above Bolton Central Library in Le Mans Crescent late last year was a great success. Thanks to everyone involved in this exhibition.
