CompetitionsThere is nothing quite like testing your photographs in a competition to discover how your photography is progressing. In the Bolton Camera Club fellow members are always willing to give helpful advice and support, but the real test comes when your images are placed before an independent judge. In its monthly competitions the Bolton Camera Club uses approved and trained judges to assess images and give helpful advice about improvement.
The monthly competitions include categories for beginners as well as more advanced workers. There is also a monthly 'themed' competition to test members' skills.
There are also opportunities for members to try their skills against the best of the region in external competitions ranging across Lancashire and Cheshire. In addition we have a tradition of battling it out with our colleagues in the Bury Photographic Society twice a year.
