Monthly Competition Results

The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography. 

Thursday 27th March 2015 saw our first theme competition of the year. This time the theme was 'Within the boundaries of Bolton'. For the first time, the current internal competition secretary was obliged to exclude some proposed entries since they had clearly been taken outside the borough boundary. The understanding of members in this regard is appreciated.


Our judge, Mike Lawrence, faced a large entry, but took on the task of assessing and marking images with good humour. Some of the top scoring images are shown below.
