Monthly Competition Results

The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography.

Our judge on 30th October 2014 was Neil Pascoe CPAGB of the North Fylde Photographic Society. Neil judged our penultimate theme competition of the year, where the theme was 'street entertainment'. With a slightly light entry in terms of numbers Neil was able to give helpful pointers on the work shown. He was looking for a good sense of engagement with the images, achieving a decisive moment for taking the picture, and good composition, as well as the usual technical excellence.

At the conclusion of the competition, progress towards the award of the trophy is looking interesting with David Hawkins and Richard Towell each resting on 60 points. It's all to play for in the last round in November.

Some of the high scoring images are shown below together with the score sheets for the night.
