Monthly Competition Results

The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography.

The second round of our PDI Competition took place on Thursday 21 March 2013 with guest judge John Fletcher from Ribblesdale CC.

After an initial run through he gave his comments and scores, saying these are another set of good images and he gave 18 points to 8 images. The following six images each received 19 points: “Kingfisher” by Richard Towell, “Girl with the Gorgeous Eyes” by Adrian Drummond-Hill, “Life from a Different Angle” by Heather Beckett, "Sunlit Trees, Pitlochry” by David Hawkins, ”Time to Go! Rwanda” by Heather Beckett ,and “Jumping for Joy” by Walter Morykin

Just one image received the full 20 points and top spot, namely “Snipe Reflections” by Richard Towell. John said “this is a beautiful shot of a Snipe and its reflection in its natural environment” adding “it has superb feather detail”
