Monthly Competition Results

The Bolton Camera Club meets weekly throughout most of the year and gives a very warm welcome to visitors and new members. We have been sharing a passion for photography since 1884 and are more than happy to share with you, whether your interest is in film or digital, audio visual or more technical aspects of photography. 

Our meeting on Thursday 15 July produced another high standard of projected images, on the theme of Plants and Flowers. Guest judge, Ken Vear from Blackburn P.S.was presented with 19 stunning images and he had a real challenge to select the top three. Six images were held for further consideration, and Ken said it was very difficult to choose between them.

The full 20 points were awarded to "Fuchsia" by John Bradshaw, described by Ken as having "a lovely colour with a dark background. It has pin sharp detail throughout."
